Bus Rapid Transit Lines in Mexico City

Check out this bus expansion project in Mexico City (below).

I think (but am not positive) that it involves bus-specific lanes. I’ve suggested bus-only lanes in the DC area before, but who am I kidding– we’re not a bus-going public.

Mexico City Mayor Commits To More BRT Lines (TreeHugger)
Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard today announced the expansion of of the city’s “bus rapid transit” (BRT) system, known here as the Metrobus, by creating an additional nine lines over the next five years… CTS, WRI and EMBARQ will jointly design and manage the augmentation project, extending the Metrobus network from 20 to 220 kilometers.
